“Come on Grandma, the tour is starting” - Collin @villadelbalbianello guided tour and gardens.

We had so much fun and learned all about the history of Villa Balbianello, the previous owners, historic furniture & architecture and the stories of great influence within. Had some popsicles on the garden and took many pics before hitting up the gift shop. Such a fun day for us 💕even if we dressed for the wrong movie 🤭

The open roof concept is not something to fret about on the days with rain.
The courtyard’s black and white tiled floors are slanted downwards so the rain water escapes you.
The walkways and floors bring in fresh air as your covered between their archways.
It’s the most trainquil place in the city when it rains, you can lounge along the cooridors and listen as the rain pours in. All of a sudden you’re not worried about going outside the palace doors.
And if you happen to stay on. Sunday, you will hear the church choir songs flooding into every corner of the hotel, as their echoes reverberate off the stained glass windows and halls.

Having our photos taken every year has been something I’ve prioritized in our marriage. As someone who gets yearly MRIs of my brain and spinal cord as a measurement depicting how bad my invisible illness is getting, I wanted to also have photos of the good things in my life.
Our photos allow me to remember all the year has brought us and all we had to offer. I can see how we’ve grown and changed together, in each year, and year after year. Different emotions, healing, patterns, joys appear. This year of marriage with C had been my favorite yet (still a couple more months left). I hope for many more years like #4. And I’m so glad I have the pictures to remember it🩵💍
